From October 29 to November 06, 2026, Berlin’s BBA Gallery brings together two seasonal open calls, Summer and Autumn, for the dual exhibition of the BBA One Shot Award. See what shots have caught our eye this time around.
The group exhibition will host the 40 shortlist finalists in the gallery, 20 from the Summer exhibition, and 20 from the Autumn edition. The 60 longlisted nominees will be shown on a digital display. This exhibition is set to be a celebration of photography and image. The images on display utilise the various tools and technology of image-making, from analogue film cameras to convenient mobile phone snaps to experimentation digital photography. What story is behind the shot?
The BBA One Shot Award is an international photography competition organised by Berlin-based BBA Gallery, known for promoting emerging artists in lens-based media. It focuses on recognising and celebrating the best single shot from photographers worldwide, emphasising the power of one image to convey a story, emotion, or concept. Unlike other competitions that prioritise portfolios, this award challenges photographers to distill their creative expression into a single, powerful image, offering a platform for emerging talent to gain recognition and visibility in the art world.
