About the 2019 edition
Now in its 5th year, the BBA Artist Prize honours talented artists. Together with an international jury, Berlin-based BBA Gallery has selected 5 artists for the shortlist whose works were displayed in a joint exhibition in BBA Gallery from April 28th - May 19th. The first prize winner will receive a solo exhibition in BBA Gallery.
Award winners
Tanmaya Bingham
1st Prize was awarded to Tanmaya Bingham from USA for her work which illustrate how the unfamiliar and other worldy cosmos can converge with the familiar and earthly garden.
Caroline Thon
The Audience Award was awarded to Caroline Thon from Denmark for her project that explores the male body as an object to the female gaze, dealing with intimacy, male beauty, fragility, and materiality.
